Aliverti was founded in 2012 by Federico Aliverti and Ivan Garavaglia
Aliverti immerses Italian craftmanship in the South African world of fashion. Aliverti was born precisely out of this intention: to curate a timeless Italian collection, in South Africa. Because of this, buying Aliverti is buying Italy, and buying Italy is buying style.
Federico and Ivan collaborate closely with Italian shoe manufacturers, visiting Italy every three months. Aliverti’s first store was opened in Kloof Street, Cape Town, in 2012. In 2017, an additional Aliverti boutique store was opened in in Kloof, Durban.
Aliverti Products
Aliverti specializes in importing and retailing high-quality shoes and leather accessories made in Italy. All products are made with vegetable tanned, genuine leather uppers and leather or leather/rubber combined soles. The base element is tannin prime material obtained from plants in a way that is harmonious with nature. This tanning process produces a leather with unique character, which is immediately recognisable. This process allows the leather to age gracefully, absorbing the traces of time. Each shoe is aged, finished and polished by hand. Each pair is inimitable in its own right.
Along with the imported Italian brands, Aliverti houses its own unique collection that boasts the famous ‘Made in Italy’ mark. ‘Made in Italy’ is one of the most distinct signatures in the world.
